Following the huge success of our 2025 Royal Hobart Show Ambassador Program, we're excited to be looking for two enthusiastic young people aged 8–12 to become our 2026 Royal Hobart Show Ambassadors!
This is your chance to be part of the Royal Hobart Show, get behind the scenes, meet entertainers and special guests, appear in media and social media, and help us celebrate everything that makes the Show so special.

What does a Show Ambassador do?
Our Ambassadors will have the opportunity to:

Help officially open the Royal Hobart Show

Meet and escort Her Excellency the Governor around the Show

Meet entertainers and special guests
-
Take part in fun photos and videos for the Show's social media
-
Explore and test activities throughout the Show, including Life on the Farm and rides
-
Interview Show personalities, entertainers and special guests
-
Help judge the Best Free Fun Exhibit
-
Go on live Radio
-
Feature in The Mercury and potentially other media outlets
-
Review and test selected Showbags
-
Be part of the action across the Show!
What is involved?
Being a Show Ambassador is an exciting opportunity, but there are a few commitments involved.
Successful Ambassadors will need to be available for:
September / Early October
A short visit to the Show office after school for a photo opportunity and to meet the team.
Saturday 10 October
Approximately 1–2 hours at our Sheep & Goat Show, at the Hobart Showgrounds.
Wednesday 21 October | 10.30am–1.30pm
Showbag review and media opportunity.
Royal Hobart Show | 22–24 October
Ambassadors will be required on Thursday 22 October, with the option to spread their involvement across the three Show days if preferred.
All Ambassador activities will be escorted and supervised by RAST staff.
What will Ambassadors receive?
Each Ambassador will receive: A 3-day family Show pass, food and drinks while undertaking Ambassador activities, Showbags, a $500 Tamar Valley Resort voucher, a
$250 Flight Centre Hobart voucher, official Show Ambassador merchandise, the
chance to be featured in Show and media content.
How do I enter? Entering is easy!

Submit a video of no more than 90 seconds introducing yourself.

Step 2 – Submit your entry
​​​​​Once your entry form and video have been submitted, the RAST team will review all applications. Two winners will be selected and contacted directly. The successful Ambassadors will then be announced ahead of the 2026 Royal Hobart Show.
Important:
By entering, a parent or legal guardian must give permission for the child to participate in the Royal Hobart Show Ambassador Program and acknowledge the commitments and activities involved.
Applications close: Friday 18th September 2026.
