The royal fine food awards
Each year the Royal Agricultural Society (RAST) of Tasmania hosts the annual Royal Hobart Fine Food Awards. This event brings many judges from all over Australia (local and interstate), together to find our country’s best produce!
Established in 1995, our Fine Food Awards is one of the most respected and longest running food awards in Australia. Although running for over 24 years, we aim to continue evolving to keep up with the ever changing trends of the Australian food industry, consumer tastes and needs by considering new classes and sections.
We aim to promote and encourage excellence in the Australian food industry by providing a quality bench-marking system that enables fine food producers to assess the quality of their products against their contemporaries and competitors. We encourage feedback and it is not unusual to see manufacturers approaching these awards as a learning exercise, growing and adjusting each year in an effort to improve and ultimately achieve gold, champion and reserved champion of selected categories.

Awards Announcement Luncheon - July 28th

Fine Wine & Dine Dinner - August 17th
Bringing two amazing elements together, the Fine Wine and Dine Dinner celebrates the gold medal winners of the Royal Hobart Fine Food Awards and Wine Show events. This dinner seats approximately 200 people and is a gold medal gourmet experience to be savoured. The dinner showcases gold medal wine and gold medal food in a three course, gourmet meal prepared by executive chef Paul Forman. This event also recognises the major award winners of each event by presenting the trophies throughout the night. You can purchase tickets to this event above.
