When is the 2012 Royal Hobart Show?
Wednesday 24 October to Saturday 28 October 2012.
What time is the Show open?
Gates are officially open from 9.00am each day. The gates close at 5.00pm on Wednesday and Thursday; at 8.30pm on Friday; and at 4.00pm on Saturday.
How much are tickets to the Show?
Pre-Show Extreme Value Tickets will be available from Shiploads Stores in two releases leading up to the Show. The earlier you buy your tickets the cheaper they are.

What time are the Fireworks?
The Family Fireworks start at 8.30pm as part of the Friday Night Entertainment Program.
What time do the Friday Night Fireworks and Entertainment Program begin?
The Entertainment Program commences at 5.00pm through till 9pm.
What time does the Show close Friday Night?
The Show closes at 9.00pm sharp on Friday night only.
Where can I get my ticket to the Show and when do they go on sale?
Pre-Show Extreme Value Tickets come on sale in July till the 7th August, then are available again from the 10th September till the last day ‘before’ the Show being the 23rd October 2012.
Pre-Show ‘Extreme Value Tickets’ are only available via Shiploads Stores.
What are the theme days for this year's Show?
The Show is open to the full public for four days every year. When the Show is open all rides, offerings and animal exhibits are open to the public with the exception of Friday evening when the main focus is on the main arena entertainment, food pavilion, showbags and carnival. (Some commercial areas and animal pavilions may be closed)
- Farm Wednesday, it’s the day when we judge the livestock, available to public viewing, our Schools visit in groups, and mums and dads bring the kids to one of our quieter Show days.
- Thursday Public Holiday - Show Day
- Festival Friday and Friday Night Entertainment – we close at 9pm
- Family Fun Day
Police
Police are located at the top of Showground Drive alongside the St. John Ambulance building.
When and where can I see the Grand Parade?
- 2.30pm Thursday on the NAB Main Arena
- On Saturday at 10.30am there is a mini parade on the NAB Main Arena.
Where can I store my personal items while attending the Show?
The Salvation Army is operating a Cloakroom for parcel and clothing storage in the Show Case Pavilion for a gold coin donation.
