Hobart based illustrator and Chalk Artist Christopher Downes loves getting down and dirty with chalk. After discovering a new avenue for his illustrious work while completing a series of large-scale chalk drawings for the 2004 Tulip Festival, Christopher welcomes the opportunity to draw all over your pavement and cement surfaces.
Able to cater for a wide range of events, Christopher will illustrate according to your specific needs. Whether it be food, flowers or fish, Christopher is available as an on site chalk artist for indoor and outdoor events. When not drawing on pavements, Christopher illustrates for Harper Collins Australia and New Zealand, Tasmanian journal 40º South and TasSwing. Christopher’s work can also be seen in the illustrated booklet, “Footsteps and Voices” at the Female Factory Historic Site in South Hobart.
