*The Hobart Showground is approved for Self Contained Caravan & Motor Home camping only.
To comply with the Self-contained definition camping units must have:
- Fresh Water storage on Board – at least a minimum of 20ltrs
- Sealed Grey Water holding tank – minimum of 10ltrs, or 30ltrs if shower on board
- Sealed Black Water holding tank – adequate portable toilet cassette or storage for on board toilet
- Sealed Garbage storage
This definition complies with the CMCA ‘leave no trace’ self contained traveler documentation and has been developed in cooperation with the CMCA Southern Environment and Rest Area Coordinator.
Code of Conduct/Conditions of Use
- You are required to display your PARKING PERMIT clearly visible on your dashboard or attached to your vehicle. A limit of fourteen days applies to all visitors.
- Visitors should park in designated areas only
- Vehicles should not be parked in any such a way as to impede exit of yourself or any other camper in an emergency evacuation situation.
- Dogs should be kept on a leash at all times, please remove and thoughtfully dispose of any mess left by your dog.
- For the comfort of other residents and our permanent neighbours please keep noise levels to a respectable level, including use of generators at all times.
- No washing is to be hung on the public road or main highway side of your vehicle. Keep your laundry within the confines of your vehicle or awning. There is a public clothes line provided.
- A dump site is provided for discharge of grey and black water on arrival or departure.
- You must not park your vehicle in such a way to impede the exit of yourself or any other camper.
- Dispose of rubbish and waste in the allocated wheelie bins.
- Adhere to all speed limits and traffic signage within the site – 10km per hour
- Be aware that there are many other users including pedestrians and animals
- Please do not pass on amenities key to other residents – present your receipt to receive your refund
- No ball games in the Motor home area
- Enjoy your stay
